The Inn

The Hodgdon Island Inn was originally built by a successful and prosperous fisherman in the 1800’s. The original part of the house is two hundred years old this year. The eye-catching Italianate addition was constructed in the 1850’s. Generations of the Hodgdon Family had enjoyed living in the house until the late 1980’s when it became a Bed & Breakfast Inn.

Our Boothbay inn, decorated top to bottom by your hosts, Pamela and Richard, reflects a casual, tasteful elegance. The Inn’s dominant views are westward looking and each room is painted to frame the magnificent Maine sunsets in pinks and blues and to echo the shoreline hues of gold and green. In addition to enjoying the first floor common rooms, guests may relax on the porch, explore the grounds, stroll down to the water’s edge, discover the old Trevett Swing Bridge and General Store, head down the road to the award-winning Maine Coastal Botanical Gardens or take a dip in our beautiful heated in-ground pool surrounded by our own “secret coastal Maine garden”. We have nine uniquely decorated rooms appointed in a contemporary-traditional style, all with private baths plus in room amenities including luxury pillow-top beds; Egyptian cotton towels and linens; quality bath products; soft, fluffy robes; alarm clocks and hair dryers; refrigerators and free Wireless Internet. Several rooms include upgraded amenities such as flat panel televisions, a whirlpool spa tub, or cozy electric fireplaces. All rooms offer water views. Extra special touches include fresh flowers and complimentary bottled water.

A delicious gourmet breakfast, fresh homemade desserts served each evening, and complimentary hot beverages are included during your stay at the Hodgdon Island Inn.

Hodgdon Island Inn is the perfect choice for a vacation, honeymoon, romantic getaway, family reunion, get-together with old friends, and/or business trip. Several of the rooms are perfectly situated for friends and families who wish to be near each other.  The Inn is open from early March through mid November.
